National Grid Hinkley Point connection work.
The National grid are placing their connection cable to Hinkley Point underground as it makes it way through the Mendip Hills AoNB this means that you may come across it in the western side of the walk
Mendip Way Improvements near Shute Shelf
A rumour has been picked that the very rutted track, which is part of the Mendip Way, which I’ve suggested avoiding leading down to the A38 may be due for repair in the summer of 2021 so fingers crossed.
Path Diversion near Rhodyate Farm
We have found that a footpath has been diverted around Rhodyate Farm with the details shown below. New gates and some signs are in place but some are quite small and easy to miss.
