As you go around the Rounds you step on, go through or pass by land and areas which are looked after by different organisations. Many of these national, regional and local organisations have volunteers who work to maintain the areas and work hard to enhance the bio-diversity. On the Rounds you will come across ‘Sites of Nature Conservation’, ‘Sites of Special Scientific Interest’, ‘Scheduled Monuments’, ‘Conservation Areas’, ‘Listed Buildings’ and all within an ‘Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.
